What to expect at the 9th Annual Northwestern Mutual Orlando Chili Cook-Off this Saturday

The 9th Annual Northwestern Mutual Orlando Chili Cook-Off will be happening this Saturday at Festival Park in the Milk District from 12 - 6 PM.
Parking will be available at the Fashion Square Mall parking garage, next to Planet Fitness. There will be complimentary shuttles courtesy of Greyhound running to and from Festival Park.
Gates open at 12 PM. There will be separate lines for GA and VIP. There will also be a separate line to purchase tickets, but prices increase at the gate so we recommend you purchase them in advance!
Come hungry, there will be hundreds of chilis to sample from! All chilis are complementary and included with all tickets.
Grab a voting coin and event guide when you enter, so you can locate all the chili booths and vote on your favorite!
Kids 6 and under are FREE! Ages 6-12, tickets are only $6. There will be plenty of bounce houses, inflatable games, giveaways, music and vendors to keep the kids entertained all day!
The Miller Lite VIP zone is exclusive to VIP ticket holders only. All VIP's will receive 4 complimentary drinks (beer or wine) under a shaded area with seating and a clear view of the stage. Plus, private restrooms, light bites and a VIP swag bag. Only a limited amount of VIP tickets remain.
The Wilted Chilis will be performing at 12 PM, followed by The Greg Warren Band at 2 PM.
Publix Aprons Cooking School will be hosting cooking demos during the festival. Be sure to stop by their tent and sign up early to learn how to make award winning chili! Demos are happening at 2 PM and 4 PM.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket to kick back and enjoy live music.
The World Chili Eating Challenge is happening on the main stage at 4:30 PM. Give yourself some time to get a front row view of the Major League Eaters scarfing down as much chili as they possibly can.
Joey Chestnut has won the chili eating challenge the past 5 years, and will be attempting to defend his first place title again this year. He is the number one Major League Eater in the world!
Chili winners will be announced on stage after 5:15 PM and will be presented with their awards from the following categories: Restaurant, CASI, Open and Veggie
