Wes Anderson has designed a real bar in Italy and it is glorious

If you've ever wished you could hang out on the set of a Wes Anderson movie, guess what? Now you can. Fans of the quirkiest director (like us) may think they've died and gone to heaven when they see these pictures of Bar Luce. But no, it's not heaven — it's Milan. The Fondazione Prada, in fact, which is probably heavenly all the way through.

Anderson says on the Fondazione Prada website, “There is no ideal angle for this space. It is for real life, and ought to have numerous good spots for eating, drinking, talking, reading, etc. While I do think it would make a pretty good movie set, I think it would be an even better place to write a movie. I tried to make it a bar I would want to spend my own non-fictional afternoons in.”

We want to spend our non-fictional afternoons here, too, sipping cocktails and nibbling cake.

And about that jukebox – it's stocked with music from Anderson's films. On vinyl, of course. (Suzy Bishop would have it no other way.)

This cake doesn't look good at all. Not at all. I'm sure Agatha would never approve.
