Lovebugs, Florida's annual biblical plague, are back again to ruin our lives. An urban legend says the horny insects were created at the University of Florida, but that's false. The randy swarms are just an invasive species from Central America that splattered their way to the Sunshine State via Texas and Louisiana, according to Florida Today. Lovebug season runs from May through September a.k.a. when the bugs smash relentlessly onto your car windshield or, worst-case scenario, sex through the air into your face. Floridians, with good reason, feel personally attacked by the annoying critters, so here are some relatable tweets about this damn lovebug infestation.
