Service dogs bring comfort, mobility, and independence to approximately 500,000 people in the U.S., but only one can hold the title of "Disney's favorite dog." That honorific belongs to Nala, a golden pup with a fantastic owner, Megan Leigh, who spends lots of time in Orlando's theme parks.

Megan shares Nala's adventures on her Instagram page, giving us insight into both the many characters who love her, and just how essential service dogs are to those who own and care for them. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service dogs must be given access to almost everywhere their human handlers go, and service animals at Disney are allowed to enjoy rides along with their handlers at Disney World, as long as there's no height requirement. Nala is not just an obedient, intelligent and sweet pup, she's also beloved by the many characters who roam the parks.

“Now I can go to Disney and enjoy myself because Nala helps me be more independent,” Leigh said in an interview with Inside the Magic, which also reveales Nala loves the People Mover in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom.  Instagram.
