Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson, a former brain surgeon who thinks Egypt's pyramids were used for storing grain, recently sold his Florida mansion for $920,000, nearly $300,000 below his list price of $1.2 million.
The 6,155-square-foot, five-bedroom, four-bathhouse home was only on the market for about 6 months, which only begs the question: Why settle for such a shitty deal? According to Realtor.com, Carson's pad had a leaky roof and a mold infestation. However, that shouldn't be a problem for the new owner, Stephen Lustgarten, who co-founded a company that performs commercial cleaning services.
It's hard to say exactly why Carson took one to the keister on this deal, but the most obvious reason is likely the fact the home doesn't include a grain pyramid.
