Hundreds of people gathered in downtown Orlando on Saturday, April 27 to celebrate boricua culture and say "Wepa!" at the third annual Florida Puerto Rican Parade and Festival. Crowds on Orange Avenue chanted the lyric made famous by Taino in 1995, "Yo soy Boricua, pa'que tu lo sepas!" This year's parade had Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer as grand marshal and was dedicated to Orlando Police Chief Orlando Rolón, the city's first Hispanic police chief who is also from Puerto Rico. The celebration also highlighted the town of Guánica, a municipality in the south west part of Puerto Rico.
