The glamorous Lake Nona estate owned by legendary football coach Lou Holtz sold twice within just four months.
According to the Orlando Business Journal, the home and 1.2-acre double lot at 9209 Cromwell Park Place went for $4 million in June and then again for $4.3 million in early September.
“I can’t believe what’s happening in the luxury market,” said realtor Deanna Armel, who handled both sales.
The 10,773 air-conditioned square feet of living space includes six bedrooms, six full bathrooms and four half-baths. The house underwent an extensive renovation in 2017, which further refined the tray ceilings with crown moldings, extra-large trim, second-story balconies and even an elevator.
The home's most storied attraction is smoking room, where pipe aficionado Holtz custom-built an air purification system. The coach spent most of his time in the upstairs office.
"I had great privacy and could smoke my pipe and make all my decisions there … some bad, but all decisions were made in there," Holtz says.
The "Walkway of Fame," displaying Holtz' multitude of awards leads to a master retreat with an enormous dual closet, electronic shades and a dual, programmable shower in a spa-like master bath.
