Wekiva Island is a cheap kid-friendly springs that offers kayaking, canoeing and tubing. After a day of fun in the sun you can stop by the Tooting Otter which is Wekiva’s personal craft brewery in their restaurant.

The Black Hammock

Enzian Theater

The Peanut Butter Matinee Family Film Series is the perfect remedy for a screen-obsessed kid. Check with Enzian’s site before going, but it usually occurs on the fourth Sunday of the month. At only $8 a ticket and free for kids 12 & under, you can’t beat it.

Orlando Farmer’s Market

Lake Eola Park on the Corner of E. Central Blvd and N. Eola Drive.
The whole family (pets included) are invited to this weekly event every Sunday at Lake Eola from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy bottomless mimosas while your kid gets their face painted or run around in the massive play gym. It’s a win-win situation.

Whirly Dome

For the competitive parent there’s Whirly Dome, which is a mixture of bumper cars, basketball and jai alai. The kids will have a good time and there’s a restaurant in the building that stocks a fairly impressive craft beer selection, with local staples like Cigar City.

ICON 360

ICON 360 is solid place to hang with a kid. Besides the massive ferris wheel, the whole area features arcades, an aquarium, a wax museum, and a skeleton museum. There’s plenty of restaurants and bars in the area, or you can enjoy a beer or a glass of champagne while taking in the views at the top of the Orlando Eye.
