Disney's been in the full-length animated feature business for more than 75 years now, and to date the company has created exactly zero openly gay or trans main characters — although there are certainly many who are "coded queer," many who are voiced by gay actors, and a sprinkling of blink-and-you'll-miss-it sly references (like by Onward's Colt Bronco and Frozen's Oaken. (Ahem: #GiveElsaAGirlfriend) To remedy that, some artists have taken matters into their own hands, creating artistic renditions of their favorite Disney princes, princesses and villains with same-sex partners. In some cases, they coupled up already existing characters. In others, the princess is redesigned as a prince. But all are in good romantic fun.
