We're a long ways away from Florida's strawberry season, but you can still get out there and harvest your own fruit! Aside from providing perfectly ripe berries, many farmers grow a wider selection of produce so you can fill your fridge with the freshest fruits and vegetables Florida farms have to offer. Bekemeyer Family Farm, LLC
1055 E Story Rd, Winter Garden, 407-917-8068This family owned and operated farm is open Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays for U-pick oranges, strawberries, and vegetables. Strawberries are $5.75/lb and oranges are $1.50/lb. They also provide pre-picked fruits and vegetables as well as local honey for sale.

Pappy’s Patch U-Pick Strawberries
700 Florida Ave., Oviedo, 407-366-8512Just a 30-minute drive from the heart of Orlando, this farm has two fields that offer berries at $3/lb and citrus fruits at $1/lb. Check their Facebook for updated weekly hours and the occasional sale.

Showcase of Citrus
5010 US-27, Clermont, 352-394-4377Open every day of the year from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., this farms offers a wider range of experiences than your typical U-pick citrus farm. They provide historical tours of the 2,500 acre property on massive, highly modified 4x4 trucks, wine tastings, farm animal feedings and a gem mining experience for children.

Heather Oaks Farm
4240 Christmas Ln, Lady Lake, 352-753-1184About an hour drive north will land you in this quaint farm that offers U-pick blueberries and grapes when in season. The owners have installed aquaponic plots that allow them to grow vegetables, like tomatoes, kale and peas, year-round. Additionally, fresh eggs are available daily and they have over 250-color variety of Louisiana Irises for purchase.

A Patch of Blue, LLC
2316 Carrington Dr.,321-438-0370Despite being predominantly a blueberry farm, A Patch of Blue also has strawberries ripe for picking. Conveniently located in Orlando, their hydroponic verticals are the perfect height for children to pick fruit.

Oak Haven Farms & Winery

On weekends, their country kitchen has u-roast hot dogs, soda, chips and home-style shortcakes with ice cream sundaes.
