On Thursday evening, the Gallery at Avalon Island teamed up with Burrow Press to hold a collaborative literature and art event as part of downtown Orlando's Third Thursday gallery hop. Five local writers were asked to come up with short fictional narratives inspired by different pieces of art on display in the gallery's "Florida Overtures, Undertones and Subplots" show, which is up through Sept. 14.
